The TB Nurse Specialist role is a highly specialised clinical post within the TB service at Epsom and St Helier NHS Trust, covering Merton, Sutton, Epsom, Ewell and Leatherhead. The post holder is responsible for delivering a high-quality, accessible and responsive tuberculosis nursing service aimed at reducing the impact of TB across the population. The role involves providing expert, individualised care, treatment and support to patients with TB and their families/carers, working both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless and timely care in line with local and national standards.

The post holder plays a key role in promoting excellence in nursing practice through advanced clinical expertise, education, consultancy, and acting as a specialist resource and role model. The role also contributes to research, audit, and quality assurance initiatives to continuously improve service delivery and patient outcomes. Whilst an experienced registered nurse is preferred, applications from registered nurses with less experience are encouraged, as this post may be offered as a developmental opportunity with appropriate clinical support, and training., Deliver a high-quality, accessible and responsive Tuberculosis (TB) nursing service across Epsom and St Helier NHS Trust and the surrounding community, supporting the prevention and control of TB.

Provide expert, individualised assessment, care, treatment and support for patients with active TB, latent TB and non-tuberculous mycobacterial (NTM) infection, as well as their families and carers. Work independently and collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team to deliver seamless, coordinated and timely care in line with local and national guidelines and targets. Promote excellence in nursing practice through advanced clinical expertise, education, consultancy and by acting as a specialist resource and role model.

First level/NMC Registered Nurse Educated to Degree level in a relevant subject or equivalent level of qualification or significant equivalent previous proven experience Evidence of continued professional development. Knowledge of TB services, current initiatives and developments, Independent nurse prescriber or willingness to work towards Master's level study or willingness to undertake Sound knowledge of TB case management and national TB guidelines, Experience working in a multidisciplinary team Experience working with vulnerable groups (e.g.
