- Encourage our children to be enterprising and creative contributors, to develop and nurture confidence, self-esteem, respect and pride in themselves and one another. - Provide challenging, broad experiences that will enable children to contribute confidently in a bilingual society and nurture an awareness of their cultural heritage and national identity as citizens of Wales and the world. - Celebrate children's achievements and continuing progress through effective assessment techniques, moving their learning forward and establishing high standards.

- Encourage a climate of child-centred learning to ensure that our children develop the ability to learn independently that challenges them to realise and reach their full potential. - To develop an effective partnership with parents based on respect and encourage them to become active participants in their child's learning.
