Send job Job Details Required As Soon As Possible Based at Bridgnorth Education Centre TUITION, MEDICAL & BEHAVIOUR SUPPORT SERVICE We are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to join the team at TMBSS. TMBSS caters for students aged 5 - 16 years who have social, emotional and mental health needs. The service has been rated as Good by Ofsted and the report acknowledged that: At the heart of TMBSS lies a belief that all pupils should leave as confident young people who are 'world ready'.

Inspirational leaders, caring staff and well-planned support combine to provide the right support at the right time. Relationships are a strength at TMBSS. Some pupils believe education is not for them before starting here. However, at TMBSS, they quickly become settled and happy to learn, knowing they are cared for, and that support is available. If you are seeking a challenge and think you can make a difference TMBSS has a vacancy for a Teaching Assistant to work at the Bridgnorth Education Centre.

The successful applicant will work alongside teaching staff delivering an educational programme including core subjects, PSHE, reintegration support and sports and leisure activities. Good organisational skills are required to support teachers in general administrative tasks, preparation and record keeping. Many students join TMBSS with undiagnosed or unmet additional needs. The service gains a clearer understanding of those needs over time through well-considered interventions and support.

For some, this means an accurate identification of special educational needs and/or disabilities and a support plan. For others, it means uncovering the need for intensive short term intervention to support mental health needs. TMBSS is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and as such, all applicants who are appointed to this post will be subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and appropriate pre-employment checks before the appointment is confirmed.
