Job Title Surgical Technologist – Surgical Services Location Indianapolis, IN | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract | Days | 5x8 Hours | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM | Onsite Key Responsibilities Scrub and assist in a high-acuity surgical environment spanning Neuro, Ortho Trauma, Totals, Neuro Spine, and Basic Craniotomy and VP Shunt procedures Support vascular cases including PV-RX AAA (start until PV call arrives) and Thrombectomies Assist in Trauma cases including RX Spleen, Organ Donation, GSW, and Thoracotomies Participate in General, GYN, Laparoscopic, Urology (Cystos and Stent Placements), ENT, Plastics, Oral Max, Dilation & Curettage, and Laparoscopic-assisted gynecological procedures Fulfill call requirements, including Neuro call averaging approximately 90–120 hours every 6 weeks Float within the hospital or to affiliate facilities as required of all travelers Required Qualifications BCLS certification required NBSTSA certification required Minimum 2 years of surgical technologist experience; Level I Trauma experience is required Must demonstrate proficiency ratings of 3s and 4s in Neuro and Trauma skill sets License must be in hand prior to start date; temporary licenses may be obtainable once permanent license applications have been submitted Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays; up to 5 non-holiday RTO days may be auto-approved, with additional RTO subject to facility approval Local travelers (Indiana residents) are accepted for this Surgical Services position and may be offered an in-state rate Preferred Experience / Skills Experience with flap and scope procedures in Plastics and ENT Familiarity with DaVinci XI robotic surgical system Experience in a high-volume, multi-specialty surgical environment Why Join Us Opportunity to work in a fast-paced Level I Trauma center with exposure to a broad and advanced range of surgical specialties Gain experience with cutting-edge robotic surgical technology in a high-acuity setting
