ENV Energy Solutions specialises in the supply, installation, maintenance, and servicing of fuel stations and associated fuel systems. We also undertake wastewater treatment plant installations, repairs and maintenance, EV charging infrastructure projects, and other technical installations. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Technical Leader to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a skilled technician who is ready to take the next step in their career by combining hands-on technical work with the day-to-day supervision and coordination of field technicians.

The Role The Technical Leader is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and commissioning technical systems while leading a team of technicians to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards. The successful candidate will act as the first point of contact for technicians on site, providing guidance, technical support, task allocation, and daily supervision while working closely with engineers, project managers, clients, and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities Technical Duties Carry out the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of fuel station equipment, fuel systems, wastewater treatment systems, EV charging infrastructure, and other technical installations. Diagnose faults and perform troubleshooting activities to minimise downtime and resolve technical issues efficiently. Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and safety checks.

Ensure all technical work is completed in accordance with company procedures, industry standards, and safety requirements. Maintain accurate service records, maintenance reports, and documentation. Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors during repairs, upgrades, and installations. Support project delivery through site preparation, system testing, commissioning, and handover activities. Leadership & Supervisory Duties Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of technicians and installation teams.

Allocate tasks, monitor progress, and ensure work is completed within planned timeframes. Provide technical guidance, coaching, and on-the-job training to technicians. Monitor the quality of workmanship and ensure compliance with company standards. Promote a strong health and safety culture and ensure all technicians follow safe working practices. Assist in planning manpower requirements and scheduling service and installation activities.

Report site progress, technical issues, and resource requirements to management. Support the development and performance of technicians through mentoring and knowledge sharing. Required Skills & Qualifications Technical qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, Electromechanical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience in installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of technical systems and equipment.

Experience supervising technicians, contractors, or site teams is considered an asset. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Good organisational and planning abilities. Ability to lead by example and motivate a team. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and make sound technical decisions. Familiarity with health and safety requirements in technical and industrial environments.

A valid driving licence is a must. A Wireman license A or B is considered an asset.
