Role summary: The (USA) Technician, Facility Services, Irrigation is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing irrigation systems to ensure optimal exterior functionality. This role involves operating heavy equipment, performing seasonal maintenance, and coordinating with management and partners to meet service expectations.
The technician ensures compliance with safety policies, maintains tools and vehicles, and documents work accurately. By evaluating system needs and recommending improvements, this position supports facility sustainability and operational efficiency while upholding company standards of integrity and quality in all tasks performed. What you'll do: Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair irrigation system components to ensure optimal exterior system performance.Perform seasonal maintenance activities, including winterizing and spring start-up procedures.Operate heavy equipment, vehicles, and specialized tools safely during routine and complex tasks.Respond to work orders, prioritize assignments, and coordinate with managers and partners to meet service expectations.Maintain accurate documentation and reports using electronic devices and written records.Inspect and maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment to ensure proper working condition and safety compliance.Support facility exterior maintenance, including snow and ice management, to maintain safe conditions.
What you'll bring: Proven experience installing, maintaining, and repairing irrigation system components including controllers, valves, piping, and drip lines.Ability to operate heavy machinery, vehicles, and specialized tools safely and efficiently.Skilled in troubleshooting irrigation systems through pressure testing, trenching, and equipment adjustments.Strong knowledge of seasonal maintenance procedures such as winterizing and system start-up.Effective communication skills for coordinating with managers, coworkers, and external partners.Commitment to following safety policies and maintaining a safe work environment.Proficient in using electronic devices for work order management and documentation.Ability to evaluate and recommend system upgrades and equipment replacements.
