The role could be contracted to any BAE Systems Air site (preferably Frimley) but on commencement will immediately be assigned to our Edgewing JV in the Reading area. A financial support package may be available to enable this assignment if required, dependent on certain criteria being met.

Job Description The TLS Supportability Lead will work as part of the Head of TLS Organisation. You'll be responsible for supporting the definition and development of Supportability requiring proficient level of engineering leadership and technical capability. Core duties Support the development of the overall approach to exerting Supportability design influence across the GCAP, working across the programme to ensure that Supportability outcomes are duly considered, appropriately prioritised and deliver the necessary 6th Generation Supportability characteristics.
Support the definition of the primary activities necessary throughout the full product life cycle, & ensure that that technical requirements are appropriately designed, developed, delivered & integrated in line with GCAP Architecture and Engineering policies. Establish and maintain the engineering governance, frameworks, plans and processes required to undertake Design Influence & Supportability engineering and analysis within the Edgewing organisation in accordance with relevant international standards.
Support the identification, development and derivation of Customer requirements regarding Supportability. Plan, manage and review engineering activities to ensure integrated, compliant, safe delivery of work packages, achieving cost, quality and schedule objectives while supporting Design for Support activities, associated schedules, Statements of Work (SoW) and DAREO requirements. Essential Skills Knowledge and experience of leading a similar sizeable defence activity involving multiple partners, complex requirements and modern methods.
Knowledge and experience in scheduling, planning and risk management activities. Hold Bachelor's Degree in STEM discipline (preferably in aeronautics / aerospace or related field) or appropriate equivalent experience / qualifications.
