Job at a glance
We want to appoint a knowledgeable, experienced school leader who shares our values and commitment to ambition, excellence and community for all our young people - and staff - to lead and drive the trust's strategy for inclusion across our (currently) 5 very different secondaries and 5 primaries. This is an exciting time to join a strong and growing trust committed to ambition for our pupils, excellence in everything we do, and building community and belonging.
It's an opportunity to build something new which will have huge impact. We are looking for a leader, a thinker, who researches, listens, strategizes, operationalises and delivers - someone with vision that inspires, with the ability to build relationships and systems that ensures that things happen effectively, to challenge, negotiate, find the shared ground and direction that enables everyone to progress.
Someone who is agile and adaptable to work with and across schools in different phases and at different stages of development to build credibility. It is a role which is immensely varied, ethically central, intellectually stimulating, professionally exciting and challenging, in a context where you will be working with dedicated and expert school leaders and a central trust team, in an organisation which has wide experience of setting a vision and building from the ground up - including a highly successful free school and an equally successful Teaching School Hub.
Our shared, fierce commitment is to have the best possible schools and provision for all our young people., The Cranmer Education Trust is an equal opportunities employer and will provide reasonable support to disabled applicants throughout the recruitment process. The Cranmer Education Trust is a successful trust which prides itself on looking after its people, offering a high level of support and access to expertise.
This is an excellent time to join the team, as we develop collaborative structures and systems to enhance and support our growing family of schools. We are a growing schools trust with both primary and secondary schools, across Oldham and Rochdale. The trust also incorporates a teacher training school and the East Manchester Teaching Hub, which support the training and development of new and existing teachers across the North West of England.
