We are looking for an enthusiastic Doctor to join our District General Hospital Women's Health Team. Offering well-established early pregnancy, urogynaecology, minimal access, menstrual disorders and ambulatory gynaecology services there are plenty of opportunities to develop skills in these areas. This is a 60% less than full time post available at Registrar (middle grade) level for an initial period of 12 months commencing as soon as possible until early October 2027.

There is scope to offer a full-time placement until January 2027 after which the vacancy reduces to 60% LTFT. The position is suitable for: Candidates with ST3+ experience. Overseas doctors within or outside the EEA who wish to pursue a career in the UK and have completed training in general Obstetrics & Gynaecology to ST3+ level or above and hold MRCOG qualification. Chance to participate in audit & Research projects Consultant support Your life outside HHFT is important and the Trust are happy to consider applications with flexible working patterns that cater to individual requirements; this can be discussed at interview Role Description: This is a full time post available at Junior Doctor (MT03) level for a period of 6 months commencing as soon as possible with possible extension for further 6 months.

Services are based mainly within the Royal Hampshire County Hospital (RHCH), Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital (BNHH), and Andover War Memorial Hospital (AWMH). Additional outpatient services are provided across Hampshire. Maternity There are 2 similar sized consultant-led maternity units at BNHH and RHCH which together deliver 5500 women. In addition, Hampshire Hospitals' Maternity Centre at Andover offers midwifery-led care and birth with a community birth rate above the national average.

Antenatal care is provided within the hospital and the community by hospital staff, midwives, general practitioners and consultants. There are weekly antenatal clinics for diabetes, fetal and maternal medicine, specialist midwifery and external cephalic version. Neonatal Services Both acute sites provide Level 2 intensive care for babies above 27 weeks' gestation. Mothers who are less than 27 weeks are usually transferred antenatally, or if delivered locally, stabilised and subsequently transferred to a Level 3 unit.

Gynaecology General gynaecology clinics are held on most days on all sites. The Trust consistently meets its 18 week RTT and cancer targets. Several of the consultants have established 'see and treat' services and the Trust wishes to develop this further. The post holder willl be involved in the delivery of obstetric and emergency gynaecology care at Royal Hampshire County Hospital (delivery rate 2300/year).

The successful candidate will: - Participate in the middle grade (registrar level) 1:8 rota with consultant support from home Take an active role in the day to day running of the department - outpatient Gynae and antenatal clinics, main and day case theatre lists. Actively participate in audits and research projects in the unit and quality improvement projects. Contribute to departmental teaching sessions
