Position Info: ·         Position: Head Chef ·         Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent ·         Wage: $38.50/hour ·         Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week ·         Number of Positions:  2 ·         Work Location: R020-200 Burrard St, Vancouver, BC V6C 3L6 Benefits: ·         4% vacation pay Job Duties: ·         Plan and review Japanese menu offerings and ensure all dishes meet established quality, taste and presentation standards ·         Supervise and coordinate cooks and kitchen staff during daily food preparation and service ·         Prepare sushi, sashimi, rolls and other Japanese specialty dishes as required ·         Train and instruct kitchen staff in sushi preparation, Japanese cooking techniques, portioning, food handling and presentation ·         Develop and introduce new sushi and Japanese menu items based on customer demand and restaurant standards ·         Estimate food quantities and ingredient costs and monitor food usage to minimize waste ·         Order fish, seafood, rice, vegetables and other kitchen supplies and maintain appropriate inventory levels ·         Monitor kitchen operations to ensure consistent food quality, cleanliness and efficient workflow Job requirements: ·         Experience: 3-5 years of professional cooking experience, including substantial hands-on experience preparing Japanese cuisine is required ·         Education: Completion of secondary school is required ·         Language: English How to Apply: ·         Company Information: 1188291 B.C.
