With a 37-hour working week, operating Monday to Thursday, 07:30 to 16:00, and Friday, 07:30 to 12:30 based onsite at Warminster, free onsite gym access at every site, supplied tools and equipment, and opportunities for overtime, you'll enjoy the work-life balance, stability, and support needed to thrive both professionally and personally.

At Babcock, you'll use your technical expertise to help maintain and repair the vehicles and equipment that support the UK's Armed Forces and emergency services. From light vehicles and quad bikes through to specialist military platforms and battle tanks, your work will play a vital role in keeping critical operations moving. Day-to-day, you'll: Diagnose, service, repair and maintain military and civilian vehicles Conduct inspections and assess vehicle condition and performance Carry out mechanical, electrical and hydraulic fault-finding activities Complete testing, road testing and vehicle certification documentation Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently and to required standards No two days are the same.

You'll work on a diverse range of vehicles while developing specialist skills and gaining experience rarely found elsewhere in the automotive industry. What You'll Need To be successful in this role, you'll ideally hold one of the following: NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair City & Guilds Level 3 in Motor Vehicle Technology BTEC Level 3 in Motor Vehicle Technology Class 1 REME Vehicle Mechanic qualification You will also have: Previous experience as a Vehicle Mechanic, Automotive Technician or Mechanical Technician Experience diagnosing, inspecting and assessing vehicle faults Knowledge of vehicle maintenance, servicing and repair practices The ability to complete vehicle documentation and test certification accurately Experience gained within dealerships, commercial vehicle workshops, local garages, fleet maintenance environments, military vehicle maintenance or Armed Forces engineering backgrounds is highly desirable.
