Waltham Forest College is seeking an exceptional, visionary leader to join our Senior Leadership Team as Vice Principal - Curriculum & Quality.

As a key strategic partner to the Chief Executive & Principal, you will lead the development of a bold and future-focused curriculum that equips learners with the skills, confidence and opportunities to succeed in an evolving economy. You will be at the forefront of driving quality, innovation and growth, ensuring our provision remains responsive to employer needs, industry demands and regional priorities while delivering outstanding learner outcomes.

As Vice Principal, you will play a pivotal role in delivering that vision by: Shaping and implementing an ambitious curriculum strategy.

Driving exceptional teaching, learning and assessment. Leading quality improvement and performance across the college. Responding to changing employer, community and economic needs. Developing innovative curriculum pathways that create real career opportunities. Inspiring high-performing teams to deliver exceptional learner experiences and outcomes. The Opportunity This is a strategic leadership position with significant influence across the organisation.

You will: Lead an Exceptional Curriculum Shape the strategic direction, design and continuous development of the college curriculum. Ensure provision is innovative, relevant and aligned to local, regional and national priorities. Drive outstanding learner achievement, progression and destinations. Champion Quality and Performance Lead a culture of continuous improvement, exceptional standards, and accountability.

Use data, market intelligence and performance insights to drive informed decision-making. Ensure rigorous quality assurance and enhancement across all areas of provision. Deliver Growth and Innovation Identify new opportunities for curriculum development and business growth. Strengthen employer engagement and industry partnerships. Ensure the curriculum responds dynamically to emerging skills needs and workforce demands.

Influence at the Highest Level Work closely with the Chief Executive & Principal, governors and senior leaders. Present strategic recommendations and performance reports to the Corporation Board. We're looking for an inspiring and commercially astute leader who combines strategic vision with exceptional operational leadership. You will bring: Significant senior leadership experience within Further Education or a similarly complex and mission-driven organisation.

A strong track record of leading curriculum strategy, quality improvement and organisational performance and exceptional student outcomes. Proven experience of managing large-scale budgets, teams and resources and complex organisations. Strong business acumen and entrepreneurial flair, coupled with a proven ability to secure growth, diversify income streams, and enhance organisational sustainability.

The ability to translate complex data, policy developments, and market intelligence into clear strategic action that drives performance and impact.
