To be a successful “VP - PBWM India FO Extn” we need someone who can Lead the establishment, growth and ongoing management of the PBWM India (BIIC) franchise, ensuring alignment with PBWM strategic priorities and business objectives.
Act as the primary interface between PBWM leadership and BIIC, driving execution of business priorities, operating model objectives and organizational goals. Build, lead and develop high-performing teams across Business Management, Data & Analytics and Banker Support functions. Partner with global PBWM leads to identify opportunities to extend capabilities, improve scalability and enhance delivery excellence.
You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success role candidate must Drive business transformation, process optimisation and continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, effectiveness and scalability. Establish governance, risk and control frameworks to support a robust and sustainable operating model. Lead workforce planning, talent acquisition, capability development and succession planning to support long-term growth.
Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, innovation and continuous improvement across teams. Deliver measurable business outcomes through effective stakeholder management, strategic planning and disciplined execution. Represent BIIC leadership forums and contribute to broader PBWM and Barclays strategic initiatives. Basic/ Essential Qualifications: Significant experience within banking, wealth management, investment banking or financial services.
Experience leading teams and managing multiple workstreams in a global environment. Strong programme management, organisational leadership and execution capabilities. Experience designing and implementing operating models. Demonstrated experience leading talent acquisition, workforce planning and capability development. Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills. Excellent written, verbal and executive communication skills.
Proven ability to influence and collaborate across a matrix organisation. Strong presentation, storytelling and stakeholder engagement capabilities. Experience working with senior business leaders to deliver strategic objectives. Ability to balance commercial priorities, risk management and delivery excellence. Desirable skillsets/ good to have: Experience establishing, scaling or leading international business capability centres or strategic delivery teams.
Knowledge of PBWM operating models, business management, banker support and data & analytics functions. Experience leading organisational design, business growth or franchise build-out initiatives. Exposure to strategy, transformation, chief of staff or business management disciplines. Experience driving digital transformation, automation or AI-enabled productivity initiatives. Familiarity with management information, business intelligence and data visualisation tools.
Experience working with stakeholders across the UK, Europe, Asia and other global markets. This role will be based out of Gurugram.
