Fills customer orders, inspects material and packs material for shipment as needed in the assigned department/location. Performs other tasks as required. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESReceives all material from the manufacturing facilities and vendorsChecks and places materials in the correct binChecks material against the manifest and reports discrepanciesInforms supervisor of defective materialsCuts down over-sized laminate to fill pending ordersReads, interprets, processes and packs ordersPerforms total skid count for loadsAssists the needs of the customerKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIESAbility to learn computers sufficient to check inventoriesAbility to learn materials inventoriedAbility to learn packing techniquesAbility to learn proper material handling techniquesAbility to understand and follow directionsAbility to work independentlyAbility to drive a lift truckAbility to read and understand customer ordersAbility to operate a table sawAbility to enter data at an acceptable speedMINIMUM REQUIREMENTSEDUCATION: High School Graduate or GEDEXPERIENCE: 1+ years of relevant warehouse experienceWORKING CONDITIONS PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking/pushing/climbing and lifting material or equipment of heavy weight (>50 lbs) Examples: grounds staff and EMSENVIRONMENT: Located in an environment with regular exposure to fumes or odors, temperature extremes, or loud noises which cause noticeable discomfort or moderate risk of accident or illness.
Examples: engineering, waste mgt, laundry workers and yards/grounds staffThe wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
At Wilsonart, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
