As a key member of the team, you will support the delivery of a high-quality Recycling and Household Waste Site and Waste Transfer Station Service. You will work closely with your line manager to monitor, manage and report on waste related data, finances, duty of care paperwork and to assist with the supervision and procurement of waste and auxiliary contracts. You will be required to use intermediate Microsoft Excel Spreadsheets and to be trained on the Council's weighbridge software.

In addition, there will be opportunities to be trained to operate the Council's mobile plant. Do you enjoy working with people and looking after the environment, where no two days are the same?, Hold a GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English OR Hold a BTEC National, NVQ3 or equivalent Level 3 qualification. WAMITAB CoTC Level 4 or above (or willing to work towards as necessary) and Level 3 Award in Fist Aid at Work - First Response or equivalent (or willing to work towards as necessary).

Experience in using MS Office packages including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Knowledge of waste management and waste operations (HWRCs and WTSs) weighbridge operations, and waste disposal and treatment legislation. Good communication skills (written and verbal) and be able to effectively engage with customers, good numeric skills, be enthusiastic and self-motivated, work effectively alone or as art of a team, be flexible and cooperative, be able to demonstrate tact but be assertive, and be able to cope with conflicting demands.
