Our client, an established and growing Water Treatment and Water Hygiene company, is looking to recruit an experienced Water Service Engineer to cover commercial sites throughout London and the Home Counties. This is a varied field-based position combining Water Hygiene compliance with Water Treatment and system analysis, making it an excellent opportunity for an engineer looking to develop a broad range of technical experience.
The Role The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a mixture of Water Hygiene and Water Treatment duties, including: Cold Water Storage Tank inspections Cold Water Storage Tank and down-service cleaning and chlorination Closed heating and chilled water system analysis Cooling tower water analysis Chemical treatment of closed water systems Hot and cold water temperature monitoring Showerhead and hose cleaning, cleansing and descaling Flushing of infrequently used outlets TMV servicing, fail-safe testing and disinfection Collection of water samples for microbiological and chemical analysis Preparing and submitting samples to laboratories Monitoring water quality and identifying potential areas of non-compliance Maintaining accurate site records and Water Hygiene logbooks Completing electronic service reports Liaising professionally with customers and site representatives Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with ACoP L8, HSG274 and relevant industry guidance What We're Looking For Minimum 1 year's experience working as a Water Service Engineer, Water Hygiene Engineer or Water Treatment Engineer Experience carrying out routine Water Hygiene monitoring Knowledge of Cold Water Storage Tank inspections and cleaning Experience with temperature monitoring, sampling and TMV servicing Closed-system and/or cooling-tower analysis experience would be highly advantageous Understanding of chemical Water Treatment would be beneficial Good working knowledge of ACoP L8 and HSG274 Strong practical and problem-solving skills Good communication and customer-facing ability Ability to work independently and manage your own workload Full UK Driving Licence Package Basic Salary: £28,000 – £35,000 DOE Full-Time Permanent Position Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 17:00 Company Vehicle Pension Holiday + Bank Holidays Company Equipment & PPE Ongoing Technical Training Career Development & Progression This is an excellent opportunity for a Water Hygiene Engineer / Water Service Engineer looking for a varied position that provides exposure to both Water Hygiene and technical Water Treatment work, including closed systems and cooling towers.
