Our client is an established Water Treatment company providing a comprehensive range of Water Treatment services and management programmes across commercial and industrial clients. Due to continued growth, they are now looking to recruit an experienced Water Treatment Sales / Account Manager to manage and develop a portfolio of clients across Greater Manchester and the surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong technical background in Industrial Water Treatment who enjoys both managing existing customers and developing new business.
The Role The position will combine technical Water Treatment account management with sales and business development responsibilities. Key duties will include: Managing and developing an existing portfolio of Water Treatment accounts Carrying out routine site visits and building strong relationships with customers Water analysis of Closed Systems, Cooling Towers and Steam Boilers Reviewing chemical treatment programmes and system performance Providing technical advice and recommendations to clients Identifying opportunities to increase revenue within existing accounts Preparing quotations and proposals for additional works and services Developing new business across Greater Manchester and surrounding areas Following up sales enquiries and generating your own opportunities Managing the complete sales process from initial enquiry through to account development Working closely with Engineers, Service Chemists and the wider technical team Ensuring customers receive a high level of technical support and service What We're Looking For Minimum 3 years' experience within the Water Treatment industry Strong technical knowledge of Industrial Water Treatment Experience with Cooling Towers, Steam Boilers and Closed Systems Previous Water Treatment Account Management experience Proven ability to develop and grow existing customer accounts Business development / sales experience would be highly advantageous Strong commercial awareness Excellent communication and customer-facing skills Ability to work independently and manage your own customer portfolio A relevant Science / Chemistry degree or technical qualification would be advantageous Full UK Driving Licence Package Basic Salary: £40,000 – £47,000 DOE Excellent Commission Structure – OTE £60,000+ Company Car Pension Holiday + Bank Holidays Laptop & Mobile Phone Ongoing Technical and Sales Development Excellent Long-Term Career Progression This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Water Treatment Account Manager / Service Chemist who is commercially minded and wants to take responsibility for developing an established customer base while also being rewarded for generating new business.
