Summary: We are seeking an experienced Pipeline Developer to join our Creative Technology team. This role focuses on developing and maintaining Unreal Engine plugins, optimizing rendering workflows for large-format displays, and building automation tools that support our VFX pipeline. You will take ownership of asset management systems and publishing pipeline workflows, ensuring seamless integration between studio tools, Perforce version control, and production environments.
You will work collaboratively with artists, technical artists, and engineers on the creative technology team to create efficient, scalable solutions that enhance our production capabilities and streamline the path from asset creation to final delivery. This is an individual contributor role offering the opportunity to grow from entry to mid-level expertise in a hybrid work environment. Temporary Position: This is a six-month temporary assignment supporting Cosm.
The selected individual will be employed and paid by a third-party staffing partner. Responsibilities: Develop and maintain Unreal Engine plugins for rendering and pipeline workflows Optimize rendering pipelines for large-format displays (16k-32k resolution) Integrate cloud rendering solutions into existing studio workflows Build automation and tooling for VFX pipelines to improve efficiency Implement and maintain Perforce pipeline integration Integrate Unreal Engine workflows into proprietary encoding and playback systems Optimize real-time workflows to enhance production speed and quality Manage materials and assets through studio pipeline publishing systems Support and maintain asset management systems and publishing workflows Experience: 2+ years of hands-on Unreal Engine development experience, particularly with plugin development Rendering pipeline optimization and troubleshooting in large format (16k+) and tiling Cloud rendering solutions and integration experience Perforce version control and pipeline workflows Asset management systems and publishing pipeline support Python and/or C++ scripting and automation Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities Clear communication with cross-functional teams (artists, TAs, engineers) Experience with version control systems (Perforce preferred) Proficiency in Python and/or C++ Strong understanding of VFX or game studio pipeline workflows
