As a Patient Engagement Representative I, you’ll be a trusted point of contact for our patients—helping answer questions, coordinate appointments, provide important information, and make navigating their care as easy as possible.  If you’re a strong communicator who enjoys helping people, solving problems, and creating positive experiences, this is an opportunity to make an impact with every conversation.  Who You Are  You’re patient, personable, and comfortable connecting with people across phone, email, text, and web chat.

You can confidently manage multiple priorities and systems while making sure each patient feels heard, supported, and cared for.  You bring:  High school diploma or GED required; some college preferred  1–2 years of customer service experience required  Healthcare experience preferred  Strong written and verbal communication skills  Comfort navigating multiple technology platforms, including EMR and CRM systems  Experience with telephony technologies  An understanding of medical terminology  Strong organization, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills  A dependable approach with reliable attendance and punctuality  What You’ll Be Doing  As a Patient Engagement Representative I, you’ll help patients navigate their experience with UVVC while supporting our clinics and care teams.

Your responsibilities will include:  Connect with patients through inbound and outbound calls, emails, texts, and web chats  Schedule and reschedule appointments while answering patient questions and requests  Provide clear pre- and post-appointment instructions  Help patients navigate general questions related to their appointments, procedures, and insurance  Use your knowledge of UVVC scheduling protocols and tools to help maximize physician schedules  Proactively reach out to existing patients to support and improve their overall experience  Help prevent cancellations and no-shows and reconnect patients with their care  Maintain accurate patient records and interactions across the EMR, Salesforce, and other systems  Partner with clinics and internal departments to provide a seamless patient experience  Participate in team meetings and stay informed on new processes, policies, and services  Support special projects, including escalations, new-hire training, and testing new tools or processes  Protect the confidentiality and security of Protected Health Information (PHI) in accordance with HIPAA and UVVC policies  Demonstrate and promote UVVC’s Core Values: Understanding, Nurturing, Ingenuity, Trust, Excellence, and Diversity  What We Offer  We believe great patient care starts with supporting the people who make it possible.
