We're looking for a compassionate, clinically strong PMHNP who wants the flexibility of part-time telehealth practice without giving up the collaboration and support that make great clinical care possible. Backpack Healthcare provides accessible mental health care to children, teens, and young adults through telehealth.

We're clinician-led and minority-owned, and our PMHNPs don't work in isolation. You'll be part of an integrated care team alongside therapists, psychiatrists, and care coordinators , all working together to support the same child and family. Whether you're supplementing an existing role, balancing family commitments, or expanding your telehealth practice, this role is designed to give you flexibility while keeping the clinical work meaningful.

🌟 What You'll Do You'll provide comprehensive psychiatric care to children, teens, and young adults through telehealth, with a focus on evidence-based, family-centered treatment. Afternoon, evening, and weekend availability is required β€”that's when families are most available for care. Your day-to-day will include: 🩺 Conducting comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and developing diagnostic formulations πŸ“ Creating individualized treatment plans in partnership with patients and families πŸ’Š Prescribing and managing psychotropic medications while monitoring effectiveness, safety, and clinical progress πŸ’¬ Providing brief supportive interventions and psychoeducation alongside medication management 🀝 Collaborating with therapists, psychiatrists, and care coordinators through regular case consultation πŸ“‹ Maintaining accurate, timely clinical documentation in our EHR πŸ‘¨β€πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘§ Educating patients and families about diagnoses, medications, treatment options, and expected outcomes βœ… What We're Looking For We're seeking a PMHNP who has: βœ”οΈ An active, unrestricted Oklahoma PMHNP license Multi-state or compact licensure preferred βœ”οΈ PMHNP-BC board certification βœ”οΈ An active DEA license βœ”οΈ A master's or doctoral degree from an accredited PMHNP program βœ”οΈ Experience withβ€”or a strong interest inβ€”working with children, adolescents, and families βœ”οΈ Comfort working independently in a telehealth environment βœ”οΈ Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and genuine empathy ⭐ New graduates are welcome to apply!
