Axle is seeking a Senior Advisor to join our vibrant team at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) supporting National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI)  in Bethesda, MD. This role independently supports the planning, coordination, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of scientific and administrative program activities, including facilitating stakeholder communication, maintaining program databases and websites, and assisting with financial and administrative coordination related to HIV/AIDS research relevant to heart, lung, blood, and sleep disorders. A Master's degree in a health or science-related discipline is required (Doctoral degree preferred), along with a minimum of ten (10) years of NIH scientific program management experience.

Direct NHLBI HIV/AIDS Program experience is preferred, and candidates must have experience conducting quantitative and/or qualitative portfolio analysis, supporting NIH-wide HIV committees and working groups, and translating HIV research priorities into funding opportunity announcements, program announcements, requests for applications, or related funding mechanisms. Additional Qualifications Education & Experience Master's degree in a health or science-related discipline required; Doctoral degree preferred Minimum of ten (10) years of NIH scientific program management experience required Direct NHLBI HIV/AIDS Program experience preferred Experience conducting quantitative and/or qualitative portfolio analysis in support of scientific program management required Experience supporting NIH-wide HIV committees and working groups required Experience translating HIV research priorities into funding opportunity announcements, program announcements, requests for applications, or related funding mechanisms required Deliverables Work products and documents related to developing and coordinating scientific initiatives, programs, and activities; planning, initiating, monitoring, and conducting analyses; evaluating changes in program plans, objectives, and funding; and maintaining databases and spreadsheets Work products and documents related to performing analyses; preparing reports to assess effectiveness of programs; reviewing planning proposals; developing and implementing comprehensive studies of performance measures; and developing metrics and milestones Work products and documents related to developing reports to identify changes in program direction and operation; reviewing documentation for compliance; coordinating activities and data calls; and conducting literature reviews and online searches Work products and documents related to arranging seminars and workshops; maintaining public and Intranet websites; developing administrative SOPs; and preparing scientific talks and p
