Space is a warfighting domain. True Anomaly seeks those with the talent and ambition to build the technology that secures it. OUR MISSION True Anomaly delivers decisive capabilities for space superiority. We build autonomous spacecraft, advanced payloads, mission software, and space-based interceptors — enabling the U.S. and its Allies to secure the space environment and counter threats from the ultimate high ground.

OUR VALUES Be the offset.   We create asymmetric advantages with creativity and ingenuity. What would it take?  We challenge assumptions to deliver ambitious results. It’s the people.  Our team is our competitive advantage and we are better together. YOUR MISSION True Anomaly is seeking a Senior Director of Manufacturing, New Product Introduction to own how our new product lines get built, translating product designs into fully operational, qualified production lines that deliver quality hardware at rate.

This individual will build the facilities, teams, and manufacturing processes required to industrialize new products, serving as the connective tissue between engineering, programs, and facilities.   This is a fast-paced, dynamic role with broad scope and deep technical content. The right person thrives in ambiguity, builds systems where none exist, and leaves behind durable teams, culture, and best practices across manufacturing and test.

Key Responsibilities   Own accountability for how new products are manufactured, from influencing a product design through a completed, qualified production line producing quality products at rate.   Develop and mature production processes, defining, specifying and building manufacturing and test equipment required for each new product line.

Design and stand up manufacturing and testing facilities to support new product introduction.   Collaborate with Facilities on near- and long-term facility requirements for manufacturing, including facility design, production flow, equipment requirements, and equipment maintenance plans.   Build teams from the ground up, defining the near term organizational structure required to set the foundation, hiring, and developing talent across manufacturing and test disciplines.

Establish culture, processes, and lasting best practices spanning manufacturing and test operations.   Partner closely with Engineering to translate design and quality specifications into manufacturable, testable processes.   Collaborate with Programs to forecast production rate requirements and align capacity to demand.   Transition mature, qualified production lines to the production organization for ongoing operations and continuous improvement.

Qualifications   12+ years of manufacturing experience, including extensive new product introduction and production ramp leadership, with a track record of leading at the director level or above.   Demonstrated success standing up multiple production lines and/or manufacturing facilities from concept to full-rate production.   Strong technical background—an engineering degree or hands-on technical experience in manufacturing environments.

Strong background in production process development, equipment definition, and manufacturing/test operations.   Proven ability to build, scale, and lead multi-disciplinary organizations, including hiring leaders and developing talent at scale.   Executive-level cross-functional collaboration skills across engineering, program management, and facilities.   Deep understanding of quality systems and translating design specifications into repeatable, high-quality production.

Comfort operating in a fast-paced, high-growth, ambiguous environment with significant autonomy and ownership.   Experience in aerospace, defense, or other complex, high-reliability hardware environments
