Position Summary: ultra innovative – Tackle rare and dynamic challenges The Ultra Care Liaison (UCL) is a  field-based function on the Ultragenyx DACH team , combining  responsibilities at the intersection of scientific  engagement  and non-promotional  market access  across the portfolio.

The key  objective  of this role is  to improve  patient care in the assigned geographic territory by  providing stakeholder-specific information,  education  and support, as needed and requested. The UCL will act as the primary point of contact  for  selected HCPs. This role requires the ability to identify and interact with selected HCPs in person and remotely, a patient-centric attitude, a strong  scientific  background , strategic communication skills ,  and the ability to establish, nurture and maintain relationships  across  health care ecosystems at various levels.

Work Model:  Field: Officially documented as working as a member of the Ultragenyx field team, generally interacting with third parties on behalf of Ultragenyx. Responsibilities: Proactively engage in disease awareness, disease  state  and patient referral education, including patient transition from  pediatric  to adult care, with physicians, other relevant HCPs, pharmacists,  nurses  and dietitians in therapeutic areas of interest for Ultragenyx.

Reactively educate physicians and other relevant HCPs, pharmacists, nurses,  dietitians  and payers about the latest scientific evidence on EU Commission-approved and non-EU Commission-approved Ultragenyx medications. Reactively educate and engage in scientific exchange with physicians, other relevant  HCPs  and payers about the latest scientific evidence on the diagnosis of the therapeutic areas of focus.

Organize and execute local educational events and roundtables to foster compliant dissemination of disease awareness, disease state education and product-related medical and scientific evidence developed and/or  validated  by Medical Affairs, and to support networking in the scientific community in the assigned territory.   Facilitate peer-to-peer exchange between HCPs within the assigned territory on the current evidence in therapeutic areas of focus.
