Epirus' flagship product, Leonidas, is a software-defined system built using intelligent power management techniques which allow power-hungry systems to do more with less.   Job Summary:   The Vice President of Marketing and Communications sits within Epirus' Strategy function and reports into senior leadership, with high visibility across the executive team.    They will partner directly with executive leadership to shape and externalize Epirus' core strategic messaging, vision, and positioning, and will build and control the Company's external narrative -including media relations, press strategy, and public-facing communications. They will develop and maintain relationships with Department of War (DoW) media personnel, and will propose a structured, measurable approach to marketing, with clear objectives, frameworks, and reporting against them.

  This role directs and briefs an internal design house to execute on brand and creative work; design sits as a separate function, so this is a strong external communicator/partner role rather than a hands-on production role. They will also lead trade shows, industry events, and thought-leadership opportunities - such as speaking engagements and editorials - for senior Company leaders, and will manage a small team consisting of an events lead and two additional reports.

  Responsibilities:   Partner directly with executive leadership to shape and externalize Epirus' core strategic messaging, vision, and positioning   Build and control the Company's external narrative, including media relations, press strategy, and public-facing communications   Develop and maintain relationships with Department of War (DoW) media personnel   Propose a structured, measurable approach to marketing, including clear objectives, frameworks, and reporting against them   Direct and brief an internal design house to execute on brand and creative work (design sits as a separate function; this is a strong external-communicator/partner role rather than hands-on production)   Lead trade shows, industry events focused on product demonstrations, and thought-leadership opportunities (speaking engagements, editorials, etc.) for senior Company leaders and executives   Support for investor relations activities, including narrative-building and relationship management.    Manage a small team consisting of an events lead and two additional reports   Stay abreast of and internally disseminate international, domestic, and industry-related news that could impact the Company   Track and report on important public news pertaining to competitors, partners, and clients   Perform other tasks and support other Company objectives, as required     Competencies & Areas of Expertise:   Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related field   10+ years of relevant marketing, communications, and/or public relations experience, with demonstrated success shaping and externalizing strategic messaging in partnership with executive leadership   A strategic communicator who can break big ideas into clear, structured themes and messages   Demonstrated experience building and controlling an external narrative, including media relations and press strategy   Experience developing relationships with government/defense media personnel preferred   Ability to propose and operate against structured, measurable marketing frameworks and reporting   Comfortable directing and briefing external or internal creative/design partners rather than producing creative work
