Overview The Post Oak Hotel is seeking a Banquet Houseman Supervisor to join the only double Forbes Five-Star Hotel in Texas. The Banquet Houseman Supervisor will be responsible for the setup and operations of all banquet rooms, ensuring efficient event execution and exceptional guest experiences.
This role is responsible for maintaining Forbes Five-Star service standards, supporting the success of all banquet functions, and partnering with other departments to ensure seamless operational performance while leading the Housemen team, maintaining banquet facilities and equipment, and ensuring all event spaces are prepared, maintained, and executed to the highest quality standards. Responsibilities Deliver exceptional guest service by providing courteous, professional, and proactive support to guests, clients, and meeting planners.
Coordinate and oversee banquet room setups according to Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), including tables, chairs, staging, dance floors, and meeting materials. Lead the Housemen team by conducting pre-shift meetings, assigning daily tasks, and assisting with staff scheduling. Supervise banquet room operations during events, ensuring guest safety, service quality, and prompt resolution of requests or concerns.
Manage banquet inventory and oversee monthly maintenance and cleaning schedules for banquet rooms and equipment. Maintain expert knowledge of banquet facilities, hotel activities, room configurations, and event requirements. Oversee event breakdowns, room refreshes, room flips, and next-day resets to ensure operational readiness. Maintain cleanliness and proper condition of banquet rooms, furniture, linens, equipment, and storage areas while preventing damage and safety risks.

Two (2) years of experience as Houseman in a large-scale banquet operation. Previous hotel experience, luxury or Forbes experience preferred Independent and professional team player with strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills, committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences, fostering guest satisfaction, and promoting repeat business.
Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays is required. Physical demands: Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds on a regular basis and extended periods of standing.
