What We Offer Forsyth Medical Center is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our Emergency Department team and provide dedicated clinical support for our Observation Unit . This is an excellent opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with emergency department experience who enjoys caring for a diverse patient population, working in a fast-paced environment, and collaborating closely with physicians, nurses, and other members of the care team.
Position Highlights Practice within the Emergency Department Observation Unit Rotating 12-hour shifts to support 24/7 clinical operations Evaluate and manage patients appropriate for observation-level care Perform comprehensive histories and physical examinations Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans Order and interpret diagnostic testing Reassess patients throughout their observation stay and determine appropriate disposition Collaborate with Emergency Medicine physicians and multidisciplinary care teams Provide high-quality, patient-centered care with an emphasis on safety, efficiency, and timely disposition We are looking for an APP who: Is a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) eligible for practice in North Carolina Has prior Emergency Department experience Is comfortable managing acute and undifferentiated medical conditions Demonstrates strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills Thrives in a high-acuity, team-oriented environment Communicates effectively with patients, families, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals Is adaptable and comfortable working rotating 12-hour shifts Why Join Us?

Schedule: Rotating 12 hour shifts What We're Looking For Education: Graduate of an NCCPA accredited physician assistant program or NP or Post Master's NP program, required. Experience: Emergency Room Experience as an APP required Licensure/Certification: Current PA or NP License in appropriate state or current NP license in appropriate state, registry w/ state medical board and current DEA registry, required.
Additional Skills (required): Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing. Ability to work with management team and physicians; demonstrated customer service skills, interpersonal skills and communication skills. Job Opening ID 190297
