Overview CACTUS is a remote-first organization and we embrace an accelerate from anywhere culture. For this critical role, we are looking for the candidate to be based in Mumbai. Given the business requirements of this role, you are expected to frequently travel to our Mumbai office. As an Intern, Company Secretary & Legal, you will be part of Cactus Communications' Legal & Taxation team, and work on statutory compliance, corporate governance, and legal operations across our India and global entities.
This role offers hands-on exposure to regulatory filings, contract management, and international compliance within a global science communications and technology organization operating across India, the US, UK, Singapore, Japan, South Korea, China and Switzerland. Responsibilities Assist in managing Companies Act, 2013 compliances for Indian entities — Board meetings, filings, statutory registers, and resolutions Handle event-based filings under the Companies Act, 2013 and FEMA Support FEMA compliances relating to cross-border transactions, including APR filing, ODI reporting, and RBI filings Assist in maintaining regulatory and legal records, and support audits and due diligence Gain exposure to international compliances for group entities in the US, UK, Singapore, Japan, South Korea, and other jurisdictions — filings, renewals, and adherence to jurisdiction-specific governance norms Collaborate with cross-functional departments and global teams to streamline compliance operations Qualifications and Prerequisites Currently pursuing or recently completed the Company Secretary (CS) course (Executive or Professional level preferred); pursuing or holding an LL.B.
is preferred Approximately 1 year of prior internship experience in a compliance or corporate secretarial function is required; exposure to international compliance will be an added advantage Basic understanding of corporate law, secretarial standards, and statutory regulations (FEMA, Companies Act) Strong verbal and written communication skills High attention to detail and strong organisational ability Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Proactive approach and willingness to learn Working knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word; comfort with document trackers and repositories Application Process Before applying, please ensure you meet the role requirements listed above and have legal authorization to work in the country where this role is advertised.
