Monitor Technician - Health Unit Clerk-CICU

What We Offer The Unit Clerk/Monitor Tech works under the direction of the Nurse Manager and under the direct supervision of the Manager, Coordinator and the Professional Registered Nurse. The UC/MT performs clerical duties associated with preparing, compiling and maintaining the patient records on a clinical nursing unit; as well as observe the cardiac monitoring system. Monitoring responsibilities include observing for arrhythmias, documenting rhythms, answering alarms and minor equipment upkeep.

What You'll Do • Communicates verbal information accurately and courteously in accordance with the medical center’s policies. • Transcribes, communicates and maintains written information accurately and courteously in accordance with the Medical Center’s policies.

• Maintains continuous cardiac monitoring of patients, documents and interprets arrhythmias, wave forms and informs nursing staff of pertinent changes. • Annually continues personal development to enhance personal growth. • Organizes and performs work effectively and efficiently. • Maintains and adjusts schedule to enhance team performance. • Demonstrates a daily commitment to the values of the department.

• Demonstrates positive interpersonal relations in dealing with all members of the team. • Maintains and promotes customer satisfaction  What We're Looking For Education: High School or GED, required. Vocational / Technical, preferred. Vocational education as a Unit Clerk or equivalent. Experience: Experience Preferred. Prefer knowledge/experience with medical terminology , preferred.
