We are hiring a Respiratory Therapist to provide respiratory care services for patients of all ages across a variety of clinical settings. In this role, you will assess, treat, and support patients with respiratory illnesses and cardiopulmonary conditions while collaborating with the care team to deliver high-quality patient care.
What you'll do Assess, treat, and manage patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary conditions across a range of care settings. Perform respiratory therapy procedures and treatments based on patient needs and provider orders. Monitor patient response to treatment and evaluate the effectiveness of care plans. Educate patients and families on treatments, therapies, and respiratory health management.
Document accurate, complete, and timely patient care information in the electronic medical record. Who you are Licensed or eligible to practice as a Respiratory Therapist in accordance with state requirements. Experienced in providing respiratory care to patients across different age groups and clinical environments. Skilled in patient assessment, treatment planning, and evaluating treatment outcomes.
Committed to accurate documentation, patient education, and collaborative care. Hold the required certifications appropriate to the patient population served, including: Adult Care: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Neonatal/Pediatric Care: Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Sign-On Bonus Options for External Candidates: Choose the incentive that works best for you: $5,000 with a 1-year commitment $10,000 with a 2-year commitment $15,000 with a 3-year commitment Note: Internal WakeMed employees are not eligible for sign-on bonuses.
