Unit Description Delaware North is a leader in food service management, operating some of the busiest and most famous kitchens in the world. This is no exception when it comes to serving up exquisite cuisines and unforgettable dining experiences in the Boston Hub area including locations such as Banners Kitchen & Tap, Momosan, and the Boston Hub Food Hall. Responsibilities Prepare high-quality sushi dishes by established recipes and standards.
Ensure the freshness and quality of ingredients used in sushi preparation. Handle, slice, and present fish and other ingredients with precision and attention to detail. Collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain an efficient and organized workflow. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the sushi preparation area. Monitor and manage inventory levels of ingredients. Uphold food safety regulations and practices.
May be required to perform other duties as needed to support the overall goals and objectives of the team and organization. Qualifications 1-2 years of experience as a sushi cook or similar role is required. In-depth knowledge of sushi preparation techniques. Strong knife skills and precision in handling raw fish and other ingredients. Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations. Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods. Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for precise cutting and assembling of sushi. Ability to lift and carry large pans from ovens or freezers, weighing up to 50 pounds. Work in a potentially hot and fast-paced kitchen environment. Pushing and pulling occasionally to move equipment.
Kitchen environment – noise levels may be moderate-to-high.
