Using various communication tools and channels you will create savvy content that will give businesses a reason to work with us, consumers reasons to use our services and employees reasons to work here! Your focus is to build connection and engagement with others to generate relationships for a lifetime! Working closely with internal departments you will create compelling content on various topics, which include but are not limited to - announcements, product news, client success stories, leadership & employee profiles, company highlights and pitching great content to media that focuses on increasing our brand and letting the world know what we do! We donโt just tell the weather, we go beyond forecasts...we use data, technology, AI/ML to provide solutions to consumers and businesses - we need you to remind everyone of that! Brands that you will be closely involved with are: Pelmorex Corp., Pelmorex Weather Source, Alert Ready/En Alerte & any new platform/brand launches Collaborate with our weather brands (The Weather Network, MeteoMedia, Eltiempo) marketing and social teams to align content and communication strategies across our brands.
Please note, that this is a contract role until December 2027 and w e are only considering candidates who are eligible to work in Canada and can work in a hybrid model at our Oakville location WHAT'S THE DAY TO DAY LIKE? You love to write! Lead the creation of diverse communication materials. Develop key content, including announcements, press releases, newsletters, social posts, blogs, and sales collateral.
Create concepts, messaging, and communication toolkits for strategic campaigns. Produce timely, engaging content across multi-channel touchpoints. Maintain consistent brand voice, quality, and style across social channels. Tailor writing style and tone to target audiences and specific brands. Manage and continuously optimize the social media strategy to boost brand engagement. Leverage trending topics and hashtags to enhance social marketing efforts.
Determine optimal organic vs. paid approaches for social content. Create company-wide social media guidelines to drive employee participation. Develop and maintain a strategic content calendar. Regularly update the corporate website with current news and information. Data & Analytics - no problem! Analyze past campaigns, sales reports, Google Analytics, and industry trends to optimize communication strategies.
Implement measurement tools to evaluate communication impact. Apply social media management and optimization best practices across platforms. Monitor emerging organic and paid social media trends. Evaluate and recommend channels and technologies to improve performance. Compile social media data to deliver actionable insights and weekly/monthly performance reports. Track progress, execution, and consistency across social media initiatives.
