Position Overview SteerBridge Strategies is seeking a Deputy Chief Technology Officer (DCTO), Infrastructure to own the cloud architecture, security compliance, corporate network, and IT foundation that underpin SteerBridge's federal technology portfolio.
This role sits at the center of the company's technical operations, providing the secure, scalable, and compliant infrastructure that SteerBridge's mission programs, including VA disability claims modernization, aviation readiness analytics, and federal fintech platforms, are built on, as well as the internal IT and security posture of the company itself. The Deputy CTO, Infrastructure reports to the CTO and works alongside the other Deputy CTOs and Architecture Review Boards to ensure every program inherits a consistent, defensible security and cloud foundation.
This person will represent SteerBridge to government security authorizing officials and internal leadership alike, translating infrastructure and compliance decisions into business and mission risk terms. Key Responsibilities Cloud Architecture Leadership: Direct the design, governance, and continuous improvement of SteerBridge's cloud architecture across all program environments, ensuring consistent standards for scalability, resilience, and cost efficiency.
Security Compliance & Risk Management: Own the security compliance posture of SteerBridge's infrastructure, including RMF/ATO packages, continuous monitoring, and remediation of findings across all programs and corporate systems. Corporate Network & IT Operations: Lead corporate network architecture and operations, including connectivity, segmentation, identity and access management, and endpoint protection for SteerBridge's internal IT environment.
Executive Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as a credible representative of SteerBridge's technical posture to government authorizing officials, auditors, and executive leadership, translating infrastructure and security decisions into mission and business risk terms. Governance & Standards: Chair or participate in Architecture Review Boards and the Technical Risk Committee, ensuring infrastructure and security decisions across AICES, AIRES, SteerFi, and corporate IT remain aligned and auditable.
Program & People Leadership: Guide and mentor infrastructure, network, and security engineers; build career pathing and technical growth plans in partnership with SteerBridge's Career Ladder framework. Vendor & Tooling Strategy: Evaluate and manage the vendor and tooling landscape for cloud, network, and security operations, ensuring cost-effective and compliant solutions across the company.
Cross-Program Coordination: Collaborate with program technical leads to identify, capture, and prioritize infrastructure and security requirements ahead of delivery milestones.
