Assistant Manager, Operational Excellence

Description: This role is responsible for managing and driving operational excellence initiatives within a regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment, ensuring that manufacturing processes are continuously improved to enhance quality, efficiency, cost effectiveness, and compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices and applicable regulatory requirements. The position leads a team focused on operational excellence, providing guidance, oversight, and performance management to ensure improvement initiatives are effectively designed and implemented.

It applies lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies to identify and eliminate waste, reduce variability, and optimize manufacturing performance. The role collaborates with manufacturing, quality, engineering, and production planning teams to identify improvement opportunities, develop solutions, and implement changes. It monitors key performance indicators and operational metrics, identifying trends and areas requiring improvement.

The position develops and implements operational excellence frameworks, tools, and training programs to build a culture of continuous improvement across the manufacturing organization. It operates within a highly regulated pharmaceutical environment, ensuring all improvement initiatives maintain or enhance compliance with defined quality and regulatory standards. The role also supports training and development of team members in operational excellence methodologies.
