  Main responsibilities:   Help oversee daily operations of the Produce Department with a focus on freshness, quality, and customer service   Deliver knowledgeable, friendly service and ensure associates demonstrate strong product knowledge   Assist with executing corporate merchandising programs, planograms, seasonal sets, and promotional displays   Maintain full, fresh, clean, and visually appealing produce displays at all times   Assist with managing product rotation, remove damaged or unsellable items, and maintain freshness standards   Assist with ordering, receiving, inspection, and store product following food safety and rotation guidelines   Help with managing shrink through inventory controls, root‑cause identification, and waste‑reduction strategies   Assist with building and managing labor schedules aligned with business needs   Assist with training, coaching, and developing produce associates while maintaining a positive team environment   Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, safety, and company operational standards   Perform Product Department duties as needed and assume responsibility for department operations in the absence of the Produce Manager  We are looking for candidates who possess the following:   Soft skills:   Strong customer‑service mindset with attention to freshness and detail   Effective leadership, communication, and coaching skills   Strong organization, prioritization, and problem‑solving abilities   Ability to lead in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment   Competencies:   Produce merchandising and freshness execution   Inventory management, ordering, and shrink control   Labor planning, scheduling, and associate supervision   Food safety, sanitation, and compliance execution   Knowledge:   Produce handling, rotation, and freshness standards   Retail merchandising and promotional execution   Store systems and inventory tools   Abilities:   Ability to review sales, shrink, and inventory data to drive results   Ability to train and develop associates   Ability to lift, move, and stack product and work in coolers and refrigerated environments   Travel requirements: None   Other requirements: Flexible availability including weekends and holidays; reliable attendance; compliance with company policies, food safety standards, and the Code of Business Conduct   We also provide a variety of benefits including:   Competitive wages paid weekly   Associate discounts   Health and financial well-being benefits for eligible associates (Medical, Dental, 401k and more!)   Time off (vacation, holidays, sick pay).  For eligibility requirements please visit myACI Benefits   Leaders invested in your training, career growth and development   An inclusive
