As a Grocery Department Manager, you will oversee all daily operations of the Grocery Department, drive sales and profitability, and ensure strong in ‑ stock conditions, accurate pricing, and high merchandising standards. Bring your passion for teamwork, merchandising, and operational excellence to a role where you set the pace, support your associates, and ensure customers can rely on a full, fresh, and well ‑ organized Grocery Department every day.   Main r esponsibilities :   Oversee daily operations of the Grocery Department with a focus on customer service, sales, and department readiness    Deliver friendly, prompt, and knowledgeable customer service and resolve customer concerns professionally    Ensure shelves, displays, and aisles are clean, full, front ‑ faced, and merchandised to company standards    Execute planograms, promotional sets, seasonal transitions, and weekly ad merchandising    Manage ordering, inventory levels, product rotation, and backroom organization    Monitor shrink and implement procedures to reduce waste and loss    Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, safety, and operational standards    Hire, train, coach, schedule, and develop grocery associates while fostering a positive team environment   We are looking for candidates who possess the following:   Soft skills:   Strong customer ‑ service focus with a visible team presence   Effective communication, coaching, and team ‑ building skills   Strong organization, prioritization, and problem ‑ solving abilities   Ability to multitask in a fast ‑ paced environment   Competencies:   Grocery merchandising and planogram execution   Inventory management, ordering, and shrink control   Labor planning, scheduling, and performance management   Operational standards, food safety, and compliance execution   Knowledge:   Grocery product flow, rotation, and inventory control   Retail merchandising and promotional execution   Store systems and ordering tools   Abilities:   Ability to analyze sales, labor, and inventory data to drive results   Ability to train, coach, and develop associates   Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry products and work in coolers and freezers   Travel requirements: None   Other requirements: Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays; reliable attendance; compliance with company safety policies and Code of Business Conduct   We also provide a variety of benefits including:   Competitive w ages paid weekly   Associate discounts   Health and financial well-being benefits for eligible associates (Medical, Dental, 401k and more!)   Time off (vacation, holidays, sick pay).  For eligibility requirements please visit myACI Benefits   Leaders invested in your training, career growth and development   An inclusive work environment with talented colleagues who reflect the communities we serve     Our Values – Click below to view video:     ACI Values   A copy of the full job description can be made available to you.
