HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT Your role is important, and below are some of the fundamental job duties that make your work unique. What your day-to-day will be like: The Manager, Regional Procurement – Maldives, will be responsible for the planning, organizing, directing, and controlling of the procurement and supply management functions for all operational products and services, for all Hilton-managed and HSM Customer (franchised & third-party) properties located within the Maldives, and any other countries or territories in the region at the direction of HSM. He/she will also ensure the established level of quality products and services is purchased at the best value, following Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) principles, while adhering to Hilton brand standards and operating procedures, and working with the APAC HSM support teams to achieve these aims. What you will take ownership of: Procurement transformation and strategy Embrace and lead the transition from a decentralized, hotel-based purchasing model to a formal and centralized purchasing framework. Adopt and execute Hilton Supply Management (HSM) strategies and procedures.
Contribute to central structure implementation through adaptations to a streamlined P2P system, creation of SOPs, Team Member coaching & development, and stakeholder education Execute spend analysis to drive strategic sourcing requirements, propose annual procurement plans for the region and work with key stakeholders to align objectives and gain buy-in. Rationalize and standardize SKUs (products), categories, suppliers and service providers to leverage scale across portfolio and develop master catalogs.
Develop new programs and/or renegotiate existing programs and distribution channels with suppliers and/or manufacturers, utilizing cross-functional teams whenever applicable. Effectively manage RFx / projects in a structured and organized fashion. Drive and/or participate in cross-functional procurement initiatives that add value for key stakeholders in operations or finance. Increase HSM spend influence, undertaking ad-hoc procurement requirements and special projects as agreed from time to time with Director, HSM Field Operations – SEA.
Assimilate, develop, and execute HSM’s revenue-generation strategy (GPO), assist in prospecting third-party hotels when required, and build successful business relationships with the APAC and SEA Customer Engagement teams. Support the Customer Engagement team with insights and benchmarking. Operations support and operational effectiveness Provide operational support to any hotel purchasing teams based in the region and provide guidance as required to hotel-based resources across the region.
Perform periodic operational reviews of the purchasing function. Maintain awareness of supplier, market, and logistics risks that may impact program effectiveness and continuity of supply across the region, and work with Operations teams and suppliers to support mitigation where required. Research product availability, pricing, specifications, and product usage requirements and/or recommendations.
Communicate this information to hotel purchasing teams and other hotel departments regularly. Provi
