Ford Motor Company is seeking a dedicated Warehouse Supervisor to join our Parts Distribution Center team in Houston, TX.
In this vital onsite role, you will lead a skilled team, ensuring safety protocols are rigorously followed, inventory is accurately managed, and orders are fulfilled efficiently and on time. You'll be at the heart of our day-to-day operations, driving performance and fostering a positive work environment. As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will be a pivotal leader, embodying Ford's commitment to excellence, continuous improvement, and a people-first culture.
Your responsibilities will include: The Lead Supervisor is expected to work closely with Superintendent and Plant Manager to ensure the following: Inbound, outbound, and claims processing Responsible for delivering objectives including but not limited to: Building Safety, positive UAW Relationships, Error Rate, Denial Rate, Inventory Accuracy, Overtime Percentage, Absenteeism, Vacation Scheduling, Grid Time, On Time Delivery, ISO 14001 Environmental Responsibilities, LPMH, Process Adherence/Improvement, Accountability, Customer Satisfaction, Accurate Application of the Ford-UAW National and Local Contracts, Direct Supervision/training of GSR 6 supervisors.
Overall Building Organization and Cleanliness, Grievance Resolution, Supervision mentoring and Willingness to Work ALL shifts as required. Cover crews in supervisor's absence. Attend, facilitate, and submit proper documentation for crew meetings. Prepare/maintain work related records as needed. Schedule manpower (including overtime and vacation). Champion and lead continuous improvement initiatives toward best in class performance. Safety First: Act as a champion of workplace safety, proactively enforcing regulations and fostering a culture of vigilance Driving Operational Excellence: Lead and direct a team of employees across various warehouse functions, including Receiving, Packaging, Replenishment, Picking, and Shipping, ensuring the team consistently ships high-quality products and meets or exceeds production targets.
You will take ownership of team performance, addressing shortcomings proactively and celebrating successes. Strategic Focus & Problem Solving: Prioritize critical tasks and effectively allocate human resources to maximize efficiency. You will apply for a "Bias for Action," promptly and decisively addressing safety and quality issues to prevent larger problems. This includes identifying and analyzing problems, developing and implementing effective solutions, making timely and well-informed decisions, and adapting to changing circumstances.
