CO Consumer Flex Loan Processor

The CO Consumer Flex Loan Processor is responsible for efficiently and accurately processing direct loan applications submitted by the lending team, our indirect dealer partners and third-party vendors. This role ensures the timely review, verification, documentation, and funding of loans while maintaining compliance with internal policies and applicable regulatory requirements. The processor serves as a liaison between underwriting, dealer partners, third-party vendors, internal departments, and members to support a smooth and positive lending experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Adhere to all lending compliance guidelines. Cross-sell applicable Meritrust products and services to new members, where appropriate. Maintain confidentiality in all Credit Union matters. Present a positive, successful image of the credit union through a professional appearance and courteous attitude. Support the Sales Team by pre-closing, verifying supporting documents, scheduling, and processing direct loans within the allotted timeframe.

Schedule closing appointments with members and branches, when applicable. Deliver accurate, error-free loan documents to branch staff for in-person closings or directly to members via DocuSign. Audit and process loan packets received from dealers and third-party vendors within the allotted timeframe. Process and maintain ACH transactions with dealerships. Pay incentives and disburse loan proceeds to dealers and third-party vendors.

Send accurate funding and delay notices to dealers, third-party vendors and loan officers. Maintain communication with dealers and third-party vendors to provide necessary documents and assist with funding questions or concerns. Support dealers and third-party vendors with funding-related needs. Discuss MCU program specifics with dealers and third-party vendors as needed. Demonstrate excellent member service and strong interpersonal skills by building and maintaining positive relationships with internal and external members.

Communicate and follow up with members, gathering items necessary to clos loans, perfect the lien, and/or open accounts. Assist MCU staff with loan processing questions. Research, correct, and complete necessary transactions on member and dealer accounts efficiently and accurately. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education/Certification High school diploma or GED required. Additional coursework or certification in finance, business, or consumer lending preferred.

Required Knowledge Understanding of consumer lending practices and indirect lending workflows. Knowledge of loan documentation requirements and verification procedures. Awareness of regulatory compliance standards (e.g., Truth in Lending, Fair Lending). Experience Required Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in loan processing, preferably in indirect lending or auto finance. Experience in the financial services industry, specifically in consumer lending.

HARD/TECHNICAL Skills/Abilities Proficiency in loan origination systems (LOS) and core banking systems (e.g., Symitar, Meridian Link, or equivalent). Detail Orientation: Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. LOS Skills: Proficiency in loan origination systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Problem-Solving: Proactively identify and resolve issues with loan documentation or processing workflows and implement effective solutions.
