Host Reports to: Food & Beverage Manager Supervises : No supervisory duties are included in this position. Job Summary (Essential Functions): Warmly greet and welcome members and guests, manage the reservation system and seating flow, and ensure an organized, positive first and last impression of the dining experience. Job Knowledge, Core Competencies and Expectations Pleasant, professional and courteous manner at all times.

Good organizational and multitasking skills. Basic knowledge of club’s reservation and POS systems or comparable software preferred. Knowledgeable of all aspects of department and daily club operations, including events and operating hours. Ability to read and understand Banquet Event Orders (BEOs). Ability to work large or small events with minimal supervision and in a team environment.

Ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure during peak dining periods. Knowledge of and ability to perform required role during emergency situations. Job Tasks/Duties Greets members and guests warmly upon arrival and thanks them upon departure. Manages the reservation system, including taking, confirming and organizing reservations. Maintains an accurate waitlist during peak periods and communicates wait times to members and guests.

Escorts members and guests to tables and presents menus. Coordinates seating assignments with servers and management to balance workload and ensure timely service. Answers telephone calls promptly and courteously, providing information on hours, reservations and events. Monitors the dining room floor plan and table turnover to optimize seating flow. Communicates member preferences, special occasions and dietary needs to service staff.

Maintains cleanliness and organization of the host stand and entrance areas. Assists with pre-opening and pre-closing side work as assigned. Attends staff meetings including pre-shift (line-up) sessions and training as required. Handles member and guest concerns with professionalism and refers unresolved issues to a manager. Assists servers with clearing, resetting and bussing tables during high-volume periods, as needed.

Completes other appropriate work assignments as requested by supervisor.     Qualifications Education and/or Experience High School diploma or GED preferred.   Licenses and Special Requirements Physical Demands and Work Environment Required to stand for long periods and walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch and twist or reach. Push, pull or lift up to 50 pounds.

Continuous repetitive motions. Work in hot, humid and noisy environment.
