MS Music Coach

JOB DESCRIPTION   Summary   The primary purpose of Music Coaching focuses on developing and polishing performance and abilities. Coaches teach the student what they want to learn, give a certain set of skills that will be used in creative endeavors or performances. The focus is on the student rather than the teaching program. The Music Coach will also:    Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences designed to fulfill their potential for development through general education.

Enable students to maximize their competencies and skills. Help build equity and inclusion, and a sense of belonging. The ability to work with others to complete a project or task or develop ideas or processes.  Instructional Delivery: Effectively implements essential practices for effectively instructing students to maximize knowledge and skill acquisition  Classroom Management: Maximizes administration of rules and procedures, proactive management, effective and stimulating instruction, and reduction of disruptive and inappropriate student conduct to ensure high quality learning, and emotionally safe, equitable environments.  Formative Assessment: Supports competency-based education by ensuring understanding of students’ needs and modifies instruction as it is happening to guide and assess student learning.  Qualifications Essential Functions   Act as an advisor, guiding artistic and technical choices, and giving feedback on the effectiveness of the students’ choices.
