Carpenter

Description Freeman Boatworks is seeking a skilled Carpenter. If you have a strong carpentry background, enjoy working with your hands, and take pride in quality work, this could be a great fit. Previous boat-building experience is not required — bring your carpentry experience and we’ll teach you the boat-building side of the job. What You’ll Do Build and install custom cabinetry and interior components Perform finish carpentry and detailed woodwork Cut, fit, and install wood and composite materials Build and install doors, drawers, hatches, trim, storage compartments, and other boat components Read drawings and take accurate measurements Safely operate hand and power tools Work with hardwoods, plywood, veneers, and composite materials Assist with general boat construction and installation Maintain a clean and organized work area What We’re Looking For Previous carpentry or woodworking experience Comfortable using hand and power tools, taking accurate measurements, and performing basic math Strong attention to detail and pride in producing quality work Reliable, dependable, and able to follow direction Willing to learn new skills and techniques Experience in finish carpentry, custom cabinetry, furniture building, boat building, trim carpentry, millwork, fiberglass, or composites is helpful, but not required What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance Company-paid life and disability insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off and holidays Additional voluntary benefit options A collaborative, team-focused environment Please note: Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check and drug screening.
