Position Overview Under the direction of the Director of Compliance Management, the Compliance Specialist supports the Compliance Management Program by overseeing the daily activities of the Flood Portfolio and the BAI Learning Management System. In addition, this position will complete, as needed; the validation of HMDA and CRA data; the review and distribution of valuation reports and other duties as assigned with the Compliance Department.
Essential Job Functions Demonstrate technical knowledge of the flood insurance regulations and internal procedures that support management of the program Demonstrate general knowledge of all regulations under the purview of the Compliance Management Program Assign monthly training courses to employees using the BAI Learning Management System Maintain and update the BAI Learning Management System with employee title changes and custom course content, in addition provide monthly reports to management with completion results Validate HMDA & CRA data Review appraisal reports completed by external appraisers, and complete appraisal checklists Communicate noteworthy aspects of appraisals with Loan Officers as necessary Resolve correctable issues found in appraisal reports with the appraiser, loan staff and/or Chief Regulatory Officer as appropriate Provide additional support as needed to the Appraisal team Attend continuing education training, including webinars, seminars, conferences and/or schools (may require travel to off-site locations) Prepare and present information for internal committees Other additional compliance responsibilities as needed or directed Competencies Attention to Detail; Ability to comprehend technical written material; Strong organizational and time management skills; Problem solving; Ability to work with other business units and outside vendors.
Physical Demands While performing the duties of this position, the employee is in regular communication, is required to use various tools or objects, and have the mobility to move about the office. The employee occasionally lifts and/or moves objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position that regularly requires 40 hours per week.
Trave l Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.
