Mazzetti’s MEP Consulting Engineering Practice is dedicated to designing innovative, sustainable solutions for the built environment, with particular expertise in Healthcare and Science and Technology facilities and infrastructure. Our team combines technical excellence with a collaborative, client-focused approach to address complex building and infrastructure needs and deliver healthier, more resilient, and sustainable environments.

Job Summary Mazzetti is seeking entry-level Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing Designers to join our Engineering team in Summer 2027. This s an opportunity to launch your career designing building systems that directly impact how people experience the built environment. Depending on your discipline, you’ll support the design of HVAC, electrical, or plumbing systems for complex facilities, with a focus on healthcare, science and technology, and other high-performance buildings.

You’ll work alongside experienced engineers and designers, gaining hands-on experience with real projects while developing your technical expertise, understanding of project delivery, and ability to collaborate across disciplines. From performing engineering calculations and developing designs in Revit to participating in project meetings and visiting construction sites, you’ll have opportunities to learn how projects move from concept through construction—and how thoughtful engineering can create more sustainable, resilient buildings.

Your Tasks Will Involve   Design & Technical Development Support the design and documentation of mechanical HVAC, electrical, or plumbing systems, depending on your discipline. Perform engineering calculations and analyses with guidance from experienced team members, such as: Mechanical: heating and cooling loads, ventilation requirements, and HVAC system sizing.

Electrical: lighting and power calculations, voltage drop and short-circuit analysis. Plumbing: domestic water, sanitary, stormwater, and other plumbing system calculations and sizing. Develop construction drawings, diagrams, and other project documentation using Revit and related design tools. Learn and apply applicable building codes, engineering standards, and Mazzetti design practices. Contribute to energy-efficient, resilient, and lower-carbon building solutions.

Collaboration & Project Experience Work closely with engineers, designers, project managers, and other Mazzetti disciplines. Coordinate designs with architects, contractors, structural engineers, and other project partners. Participate in project meetings and learn how client needs are translated into technical design solutions. Communicate questions, ideas, and design considerations clearly with project team members.

Construction & Field Experience Support construction administration activities, including reviewing submittals and responding to project documentation. Participate in site visits to observe existing conditions, construction progress, and installation of designed systems. A
