NeighborHealth seeks Family Medicine physicians who view medicine as a Christian vocation and who are committed to advancing our mission through the daily practice of excellent, compassionate, whole-person care. Financial Incentive Programs & Benefits As a Federally Qualified Health Center serving a Health Professional Shortage Area, NeighborHealth Center qualifies for several financial incentive programs that can significantly supplement physician compensation.
Providers with educational loan debt may be eligible for the federal National Health Service Corps (NHSC) Loan Repayment Program of up to $75,000 tax-free over two years and the NC Office of Rural Health (NC ORH) Loan Repayment Program of up to $100,000 over four years. Providers without educational loan debt may qualify for the NC ORH High Needs Service Bonus of up to $100,000 over four years. NeighborHealth also offers competitive compensation, productivity incentives, employer-paid malpractice insurance, generous PTO and holidays totaling more than 7 weeks annually, dedicated CME time and allowance, 32 hours of scheduled patient care and 8 hours of protected administrative time weekly , minimal call supported by a 24/7 nurse triage, and Epic with Abridge AI documentation.
Position Summary NeighborHealth physicians practice broad-spectrum outpatient Family Medicine across the lifespan, with opportunities to include prenatal care (300+ deliveries annually), procedures, teaching, quality improvement, and clinical leadership. Physicians also mentor and support Advanced Practice Providers, collaborate on complex patient care, develop clinical workflows, and foster a culture of clinical excellence across the organization.
This role is an on-site position. An on-site 340B pharmacy opening in Fall 2026 and additional Raleigh-area locations planned beginning in 2027 reflect NeighborHealth's continued growth. Principal Duties and Responsibilities Provides whole-person care that intentionally integrates physical, behavioral, social, and spiritual care, including prayer when welcomed by the patient, consistent with NeighborHealth's mission and practice policies.
Delivers outstanding evidence-based, relationship-centered primary care services to both children and adults, with approximately 50% of patients being pediatrics, including newborns. Demonstrates Christ-like compassion, humility, integrity, and respect, and faithfully represents NeighborHealth's mission in every patient encounter. Collaborates with nurse practitioners or supervises physician assistants, as appropriate, in providing patient care, to strengthen NeighborHealth’s culture of clinical excellence; may assist in the education training of medical students and residents.
