Position Summary: The Mechanical Assembler is responsible for assembling mechanical and electromechanical products and components in accordance with customer specifications, engineering drawings, work instructions, and MCL quality standards. This position utilizes a variety of hand tools, power tools, assembly equipment, measuring devices, and material-handling equipment to complete assigned work safely, accurately, and efficiently.
As part of a contract manufacturing environment, the Mechanical Assembler must be flexible and willing to learn multiple products, processes, and customer requirements. This position is expected to contribute to achieving safety, quality, productivity, and on-time delivery goals while supporting continuous improvement initiatives throughout the manufacturing operation. Responsibilities: Assembly & Production Perform mechanical and electromechanical assembly of products, components, and subassemblies according to established specifications.
Read, understand, and follow work instructions, engineering drawings, bills of material (BOMs), assembly documentation, and other production requirements. Use hand tools, power tools, fixtures, hoists, and other assembly equipment safely and effectively. Perform tasks that may include fastening, drilling, cutting, fitting, aligning, measuring, and installing components. Complete assembly operations within established production standards while maintaining quality and safety expectations.
Learn and perform multiple assembly processes and product builds based on production and customer needs. Verify that the correct parts, components, materials, and hardware are being used throughout the assembly process. Identify and communicate material shortages, production issues, equipment concerns, or other conditions that may impact production. Maintain accurate production records and documentation
