Description Job Summary: Provides comprehensive primary and preventive healthcare to infants, children, and adolescents. Performs physical examinations, assesses and diagnoses acute and chronic conditions, develops and manages treatment plans, prescribes medications, orders and interprets diagnostic testing, and provides patient and family education. Promotes wellness through immunizations, developmental screenings, health counseling, and preventive care while collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.

This position may require after-hours call. Supervisory Responsibilities: Provides oversight and guidance to LVNs and CMAs Duties/Responsibilities: Provides comprehensive primary and preventive care to infants, children, and adolescents to include comprehensive physical examinations and recording of detailed medical histories. Develops, implements, and monitors individualized treatment plans.  Administers and manages immunizations and other pediatric preventive services.

Monitors growth, development, nutrition, and overall health. Conducts patient histories, physical examinations, developmental assessments, and routine wellness visits. Diagnoses and treats acute and chronic pediatric illnesses and conditions. Performs common pediatric procedures within scope of practice and in alignment with RHC approved procedures. Orders, performs, and interprets laboratory tests, diagnostic studies, and screenings.

Prescribes medications and treatments and monitor patient response. Identifies urgent and emergent conditions and initiates appropriate treatment or referral and follow-up care with specialists and other healthcare providers. Prescribes medications and treatments in accordance with applicable laws and clinical guidelines. Provides education and guidance to patients and parents/caregivers regarding health, nutrition, medications, treatment plans, and disease prevention.

Maintains accurate, timely, and complete medical records and clinical documentation. Collaborates with physicians, nurses, medical assistants, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care. Participates in quality improvement, patient safety, compliance, and infection-control initiatives. Follows established clinical protocols, evidence-based practices, and applicable federal and state regulations.

Communicates effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team while providing compassionate, patient-centered care. Performs other related duties to benefit the mission of the organization.  Requirements Required Skills/Abilities:  Must use and operate: Computer, Telephone, Facsimile Machine, Copier, Scanner, Printer, Calculator, and other Standard Office Equipment Ability to: Actively listen: Hearing verbal cues and noticing body language to find unseen worries.

Show empathy: Sharing feelings to comfort vulnerable patients and lower their stress. Display cultural competence: Respecting varied religious, language, and cultural backgrounds. Handle workplace disagreements calmly and find fast solutions. Stay calm and clear-headed under heavy workloads or emergencies. Must be able to work under pressure while interacting in a helpful, courteous manner with a high degree of patient contact.

Knowledge of pediatric growth, development, preventive care, and common childhood illnesses. Ability to manage acute and chronic pediatric conditions. Strong medication management and treatment-planning skills. Ability to recognize changes in patient condition and respond appropriately to urgent situations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with children and parents/caregivers. Strong patient education and counseling skills.

Ability to establish trust and rapport with pediatric patients and families. Strong organizational, time-management, and documentation skills. Proficiency with electronic health records and standard clinical technology. Ability to work effectiv
