Patient Access Coordinator
Description The Role: You're the first voice our patients hear and the person who keeps a physician's, advanced practice providers, and physical therapist day running on time. Every call you answer, every appointment you schedule, and every insurance detail you verify sets the tone for a patient's entire experience with us. What you'll do: Answer incoming calls and give patients a genuinely helpful first impression Register new patients and keep demographic information current for established ones Schedule, reschedule, and cancel appointments, and keep physician schedules accurate so every patient gets seen Verify insurance eligibility before appointments happen, not after Manage incoming and outgoing referrals, including logging and correspondence Work with patients, physicians, and staff at outside facilities to keep information moving accurately and on time Prep documentation for upcoming visits and request outside records and images ahead of time Maintain HIPAA-compliant patient confidentiality in every interaction Work a daily task list and keep on top of it Help grow patient portal participation Support Telehealth patients with scheduling and setup Scan medical records for new patients ahead of their visits Send new patient paperwork through Health Asyst and walk patients through any technical hiccups What we're looking for: Someone who stays calm on a busy phone line, pays attention to detail, and treats every patient interaction like it matters, because it does.
