Description Balance Health is the nation’s premier comprehensive lower-extremity focused Physician Practice. We provide leading podiatrists, orthopedic surgeons, and physical therapists with operational support so they can spend their time focused on growing their business and delivering exceptional patient care. Position Overview We are seeking a Patient Services Representative (PSR) to serve as the first point of contact for our patients.

In this role, you will be responsible for welcoming patients, managing appointment scheduling, and ensuring a seamless check-in and check-out experience. You will also support a variety of administrative and office functions as needed. Working closely with both providers and patients, you will play a key role in maintaining efficient daily operations while delivering a high standard of compassionate care.

This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys a dynamic, patient-facing role. Travel Requirement: This is an on-site position based in our Avon office. Duties and Responsibilities Answer incoming calls promptly and direct them appropriately, including taking accurate, detailed messages and ensuring timely follow-up Schedule appointments for new and existing patients both by phone and in person Greet patients warmly upon arrival and efficiently manage the check-in and check-out process Utilize the electronic medical record (EMR) system to: Verify insurance coverage and process disability forms Confirm that referrals and prior authorizations are obtained and documented Update patient demographic information as needed Collect co-pays and outstanding balances in a professional manner Perform other duties as assigned to support clinic operations Requirements Education and Experience 1-2 years of experience working in a professional medical office environment responsible for the front desk, or similar role.

Minimum of high-school diploma or equivalent. Experience using ModMed The ability to handle challenging situations with extreme patience and professionalism. Effective time management and organizational skills including prioritizing daily tasks. Excellent verbal, written, and listening communication skills to interact with patients, physicians, coworkers, and vendors in a professional, courteous manner.

Must be committed and reliable reporting to work on time as scheduled to ensure business needs are met. Experience working in a team environment and understands the commitment to be collaborative. Must be able to ensure accurate, timely completion of assigned tasks. Respectfully accepts coaching and guidance provided constructively to ensure continual improvement, career growth, and development. PC Proficient with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Understands additional tasks may be assigned to meet business needs.
