Position Overview We are currently seeking a dynamic, highly motivated, and experienced individual for the position of Payroll Specialist. The Payroll Specialist will assist the Payroll Manager in managing and processing bi-weekly and off-cycle payroll for 1200+ employees for a workforce that is multi- state, multiple organizations.
Ensures payroll is processed timely, accurately, and in compliance with all Federal & State and local tax laws, company policies and collective bargaining agreements. Lastly, this payroll superstar must have excellent customer service and communication skills, problem-solving abilities, be team oriented and be flexible to thrive in our fast-paced, growing environment. Duties Payroll Processing Utilize Paylocity’s payroll and time and labor systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of all payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions for multiple company profiles Maintain accurate payroll records related to garnishments, tax levies and bankruptcy cases Reconciles and transmits payment of union dues, union health & welfare, and union pension to corresponding union locals, as required Conducts Data & Retro pay analysis.
Compliance Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, collective bargaining agreements, and contract requirements Apply working knowledge of IRS, DOL FLSA, SCA Compensation and fringe benefit programs to ensure adherence and compliance. Quality Control/ Audits Review and validate payroll reports for accuracy, investigating and resolving any discrepancies Perform regular reviews/audits
