Site Supervisor

Description POSITION SUMMARY: Under the direction and supervision of the Assistant Director of  Housing, the Site Supervisor will assist previous homeless individuals with a primary diagnosis  of serious and persistent mental illness, alcohol and substance use to restore or enhance their  capacity for social functioning, while creating societal conditions favorable to their goals.

This  position will supervise the case managers and shift supervisor who oversee the operations.   The  Site Supervisor must be able to independently assess the psychosocial functioning and needs of  tenants to formulate and implement a treatment plan, identifying the tenants’ problems,  strengths, weaknesses, coping skills, and assistance needed.

Must have knowledge of community  resources, how to make appropriate referrals to community and other governmental agencies for  services, and ability to coordinate services. This is a 24-hour site.  POSITION DESCRIPTION:  • Will supervise the social service and operation staff assigned by the Assistant Director of  Housing or another supervisor   • Must have knowledge of community resources, how to make appropriate referrals to  community and other governmental agencies for services, and ability to coordinate  services.  • Must have knowledge and experience in the use of medical and mental health diagnoses,  disabilities, and treatment procedures as well as working with vulnerable populations.  • Must have basic fiscal budget knowledge  • Will work with property management, DHS and external shelters regarding housing  referrals.

  • Must be able to provide consultation services to other staff about the psychosocial needs  of tenants and the impact of psychosocial problems on health care and compliance with  treatment.  • Must have knowledge and skill in the use of computer software applications for drafting  documents, data management, and tracking.  • Provides crisis intervention and stabilization as needed.

May require some after hours and  or weekend follow-up to emergency situations.  Page  - 1 - Job Description/ Site Supervisor - Supportive Housing   • Maintains; reviews and signs off on all required documentation/reports and submits all in  a timely manner.  • Identifies program needs and makes recommendations.  • Promote good community relations through participation in community affairs and  community outreach programs as assigned.  •  Participate in Job Training and Education Programs, Meetings and Committees.  • Attend mandatory in-service annually.  • Attend seminars to further professional development.  • Performs related tasks as assigned.

Requirements POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:  • Must have Bachelor Degree preferably a Master’s Degree, (MSW or MHC) with 2 years’  experience providing clinical services within a social service supervised setting working with  vulnerable populations.     • CPR/First Aide or receive within 2 months of hire.  • Ability to interact effectively with all populations served.  • Ability to speak, read and write the English language.  Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus, language line available for English only speakers  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.  JOB SETTING:  ?
